OPENING HOURS & TICKETS
- > What are the opening hours of the Château des Baux-de-Provence?
The Château des Baux-de-Provence is open 7 days a week, closed on 25 December. For more information, please refer to the “Visit the Château” section.
- > Who can benefit from the family rate?
The family rate is available for 2 adults + 2 children aged 7 to 17.
- > My child is under 7 years old — do I need to book a ticket for them?
No, children under 7 benefit from free admission, which is granted on-site.
- > I have tickets purchased via my works council (CE) or I have invitations — do I need to book online?
No advance booking is required. You may visit on the day of your choice with your tickets.
- > I am a journalist — is entry free?
Yes, journalists receive free admission upon presentation of a valid press card for the current year. No time slot reservation is necessary.

- > I have an ICOM card — can I access the Château des Baux?
No, we do not accept the ICOM card.
- > Can I pay for tickets with holiday or culture vouchers?
Yes, paper-format holiday vouchers (chèques vacances) are accepted on-site only. Culture vouchers are not accepted.
ACCESSIBILITY
- > Can I visit with a stroller?
Visiting the Château with a stroller is very difficult. A baby carrier is highly recommended.
- > Is the Château des Baux-de-Provence accessible for people with reduced mobility?
Access to the Château is steep. Two quadrix (all-terrain wheelchairs) are available under certain conditions.
Visitors with reduced mobility receive free admission upon presentation of proof, with no need to book in advance. Their companion receives a reduced rate if the need for assistance is stated on the proof.
- > Can I store a bag at the Château during my visit?
No, the Château and the village do not offer storage facilities, not even for small bags.
- > Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are allowed if kept on a leash, both in the Château and in the village.
ONLINE BOOKING
- > The dates I want are fully booked — can I buy tickets on-site?
Yes, you can buy tickets on-site.
- > Can I buy gift vouchers so the recipient can choose the date later?
No, we do not sell undated tickets.
- > How do I know if my tickets were successfully purchased?
Your tickets are confirmed when you receive both a payment confirmation email and a second email containing your tickets.
Do not confuse the payment confirmation email with the account creation confirmation email.
- > Do I need to print my tickets?
No, you can present your tickets on your smartphone.
- > I encounter a problem during booking and get sent back to the homepage — what should I do?
Please try again — the site may be experiencing high traffic for that date.
- > Where can I find my purchased tickets?
Once your order is confirmed and paid, your tickets will be sent to your email address. You can also find them by logging into your customer account under “My Orders.” If you still can’t find your tickets, your payment may have been declined.
- > I can’t log into my customer account — what should I do?
Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after your email address.
- > Can my tickets be exchanged, modified, or refunded?
In accordance with Article L 121-20-4 of the French Consumer Code, ticket purchases are not subject to the legal right of withdrawal. All issued tickets are non-exchangeable, non-modifiable, and non-refundable, except in the event of cancellation of the service by EPIC Destination Les Baux-de-Provence, as described in Article 11.2. Cancellations due to force majeure, as defined in Article 12, are excluded.
If the service listed on your ticket is cancelled by EPIC Destination Les Baux-de-Provence, customer service will contact you as soon as possible by email or SMS to:
– either offer, where possible, to reschedule the visit using the same ticket for a different date and/or time,
– or issue a refund for the relevant ticket, including instructions.
