The Château des Baux-de-Provence is open all year round

January, February, November, December: 10.00 am to 5.00 pm*
March, October: 9.30 am to 6.00 pm*
April, May, June, September: 9.00 am to 7.00 pm*
July, August: 9.00 am to 7.30 pm*

Closed on 25 December

The bookstore and Boutique du château are open from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm, 6.00 pm, or 7.00 pm depending on the season.

*Upon presentation of an Adult ticket (10€), you are entitled to a reduced rate within two weeks at Hôtel Sade, the Glanum site in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, and the Montmajour Abbey in Arles.

Conditions

The Château des Baux provides a Quadrix vehicle for people with reduced mobility.

Dogs are allowed in the village and at the Château des Baux, provided they are kept on a leash.

In teams of 2 to 6 people, investigate by solving a series of puzzles while exploring the ruins of the Château. Minimum recommended age: 7 years. Please allow 2.30 hours before the castle closes.

The Château des Baux-de-Provence is located a 5-minute walk from the entrance to the pedestrian village.

🚘 By car:
From Avignon: A7 motorway, exit 24
From Marseille: A7 motorway towards Lyon – A54 towards Arles, exit 11
From Nîmes: A9 motorway – A54 towards Arles, exit 7

 

🅿️ Parking

Municipal parking is paid
– 1st hour: 5€
– 2nd hour: 1€
– each additional hour: +0.50€

Visit duration: Château des Baux  – 1 hour, the village – 1 hour, Carrières des Lumières – 1 hour

We recommend downloading the free PayByPhone or Presto Park app on your smartphone in advance to pay for parking. This allows you to extend your parking time remotely.

❗Beware of bank card theft when paying at parking meters by malicious individuals.
Stay alert and make sure not to leave anything visible inside your vehicle.

🚌 By bus:Les Baux-de-Provence is served by line 707 only in July and August.

 

The Carrières des Lumières are a 10-minute walk from the village of Les Baux-de-Provence. You can walk there if you park in a nearby village parking lot.

The Château des Baux-de-Provence is only accessible by walking through the village of Les Baux, along cobblestone streets with slopes sometimes exceeding 6%. Assistance is recommended for people with reduced mobility.

The Château des Baux provides a quadrix (all-terrain wheelchair) for people with reduced mobility (subject to conditions).

🦮 Pets are allowed on a leash at the Château des Baux and in the village. They are not permitted at the Carrières de Lumières.
